Following the rapid outbreak of Coronavirus, the Federal Capital Territory administration has adopted some preventive measure to curb the spread of virus.
The FCT Minister, Muhammad Musa Bello, imposed a partial lockdown across Abuja.
Bello directed all servants of the FCT on grade level downwards to stay away from work until further notice.
However, the minister exempted medical, environmental and security operations from the ban which affects social gatherings like parks, gardens, event centres, night clubs, bars, football viewing centres.
The FCT minister urged Abuja residents to adhere to the directives as there will be serious consequences for whoever flouts the new ban.
In a press briefing to journalists on Tuesday, March 24, the minister also warned that there will be serious consequences for anyone who disobeys the earlier ban on academic and religious gatherings.
