Actor, Ogun Majek, dies in Ibadan

Nollywood actor, Ogun Majek, has died in his home in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, Punch Newspapers has reported.

According to the paper, the ailing actor who in April appealed for financial assistance, died on Thursday as confirmed by the President of Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) Bolaji Amusan.

The actor, whose real name is Akinpelu Akeem, was rumoured to have died in May, a report which was debunked by actress, Foluke Daramola, on Instagram.

This came after the rumour had appeared on her Facebook page. She confirmed that he was still alive and blamed Godmyne TV, which managers her page, for the error.

”Let’s be guided please. This has been brought to my notice and it’s so unfortunate, cos I am not the one that manages my Facebook account it’s been like that for so many years, its goldmyne that has been running it for me… And Alhaji Ogun Majek is not dead pls, we still spoke this morning,” she wrote on Instagram on May 2.
