The French government has expressed her readiness to partner with Nigeria on the forthcoming Economic Forum on Agriculture scheduled to hold in July, 2018.

French Ambassador to Nigeria, Denys Gauer made the disclosure in Abuja, when he paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development – Chief Audu Ogbeh.

Ambassador Gauer who is visiting the Minister ahead of French President Macron’s planned trip to Nigeria in July said, Nigeria has regained her rightful place among the committee of nations with her agricultural revolution and anti corruption war that is yielding tremendous successes.

He said agriculture is one of the key areas of interest for bilateral discussions during the President Macron’s scheduled visit.

The Minister and the Ambassador discussed areas of mutual interest in Agriculture and set the agenda for a planned economic forum on Agriculture, to hold as part of the French President’s engagements in Nigeria.
