Following his contact with President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has debunked reports making the rounds that he tested positive to the virus.

In a viral video shared on social media on Wednesday, Bello, is seen working out on a treadmill with a set of boxing gloves on, in his residence while assuring the public of his health status.

The governor also urged Kogi citizens to stay safe and stay at home adding that the COVID-19 will soon be a case of history in a couple of days.

“…I gat no COVID, those who wish me to have COVID, will have HIV. I am good, hale and hearty, I challenge anybody to the boxing ring, I’m gonna beat the hell out of you there…’

“…The people of Kogi state I love you all. Don’t mind the political aspect of it, stay safe.

“7, 14 days, maximum 21days, COVID will disappear. Their COVID, not our own, we don’t have COVID, their COVID will disappear…”, the Governor said in the video.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, on Wednesday, confirmed the country’s 46th case – one in Lagos and another in Osun.
