The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has released results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates 2018-First Series.
The exams body in Lagos on Monday said 17.13% candidates secured pass in English Language and Mathematics.
It also added that the results of 1,021 candidates, representing 9.03% of the total candidates who sat for the examination were withheld in connection with various reported cases of examination malpractice.
WAEC is West Africa’s foremost examining board established by law to determine the examinations required in the public interest in the English-speaking West African countries, to conduct the examinations and to award certificates comparable to those of equivalent examining authorities internationally.
