Champions League: Osimhen’s Napoli thrash Rangers 3-0; PSG pummel Maccabi in four-goal thriller

Super Eagles star attacker, Victor Osimhen was missing due to injury as his club, Napoli thrashed Scottish giants, Rangers 3-0 in front of a home crowd at Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow, Scotland, on Wednesday.

The visitors were awarded a penalty in the 55th after James Sand was given a second yellow after taking down Politano in the box. Rangers goalkeeper McGregor saved Matteo Politano’s spot kick but the Italian tucked home the rebound. The goal was cancelled after a VAR review.

There was also a second penalty miss before Politano finally broke the deadlock after scoring the penalty of the clash to make it 1-0 in favour of Napoli in the 68th minute.

Substitute, Raspadori doubled Napoli’s lead 17 minutes later.

Ndombele rounded up the scoring with Napoli’s third for the night after slotting home from the box in injury time.

In the Group H clash between Maccabi Haifa and Paris SaintGermain, the Parisians pummeled the hosts 3-1 at Sammy Ofer Stadium.

Tjaronn Chery gave the hosts the lead in the 24th minute before Lionel Messi equalised for the visitors 13 minutes later.

Kylian Mbappé handed the French side the lead after scoring a brilliant gaol in the 69th minute.

Neymar extended PSG’s lead in the 88th minute as the French champions clinched a comfortable away victory.
