Any Yoruba person who does not support Tinubu should be stripped of his citizenship – Ex-APC presidential aspirant
Adamu Garba, a former presidential aspirant on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has declared that any Yoruba indigene who does not support the party’s flag bearer, Bola Tinubu, should be stripped of their Yoruba citizenship.
The APC chieftain made the declaration on Sunday while reacting to the endorsement of the former Lagos governor’s presidential ambition by the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere.
TheNigerianNews reported that Afenifere endorsed Tinubu on Sunday at the residence of its National Leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
However, some members of the group, including the group’s leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo and the Secretary-General of the association, Chief Sola Ebiseni, were not at the meeting.
Garba while commending Afenifere for endorsing the APC presidential candidate, said the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation’s endorsement was a marching order for the Yoruba nation to follow Tinubu and Tinubu alone.
In a tweet, he wrote: “Now that Afenifere have issued a marching order for the Yoruba nation to follow Tinubu and Tinubu alone, any Yoruba man who follows someone else for 2023 Presidential election should be stripped of his Yoruba citizenship from across the River.”
