Ifeanyi: Tinubu, Gov Oyetola, send condolence messages to Davido

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC for the 2023 General Elections, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, have sent their heartfelt condolences to singer Davido, and his lover, Chioma, over the death of their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

The former Lagos first family said their thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family.

The Tinubus prayed God to grant the Adelekes the fortitude to bear the loss.

In a tweet, Tinubu wrote: “Oluremi and I send our heartfelt and deepest condolences to David, Chioma, and the entire Adeleke family over the tragic loss of their son, Ifeanyi. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May the Lord grant them the fortitude and strength to deal with this painful tragedy.”

Similarly, Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has mourned the death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi.

The Governor sympathised with the singer on behalf of the people of Osun State.

He also commiserated with Davido’s father, Dr Deji Adeleke, over the death of his beloved grandson.

In a series of tweets, Governor Oyetola wrote; “Sad to learn of the unfortunate passing of Ifeanyi, son of music star, David Adeleke popularly known as @davido. On behalf of my family and the people of Osun, I sympathise with Davido, over this heart-rending incident.

“I know how painful it is to see a boy we all saw last week bubbling with life to now be referred to in the past. I pray God comfort you and Chioma. Rest assured, very soon, God will bless you both with another son who will live long to fulfill his dreams in life.

“I also sympathise with Davido’s father, Dr. Deji Adeleke, over the death of his beloved grandson. As a grandfather myself, I feel and share your pains. I pray God to comfort you and the entire Adeleke family at this moment of grief. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.”

TheNigerian News earlier reported that the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended political activities following the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of celebrated Osun-born singer, Davido.

Ifeanyi, 3, drowned in a private swimming pool at the family’s residence in Lagos, on Monday.
