Wife of NSCDC Commander abducted in Nasarawa

The wife of the Commander, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC)’s Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad, Deputy Commandant Apollos Dandaura, has been abducted around B.A road in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

The Nigerian News reports that the abductors, who were carrying AK-47 rifles, invaded the victim’s residence and began shooting sporadically to scare residents before they took her away, while the Commander’s younger brother, who is also an NSCDC officer, was shot during the incident in Lafia and he is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Lafia.

The incident, which was reportedly occurred on Wednesday at about 8:30pm, was confirmed on Thursday by the spokesman of the Nasarawa State Command of NSCDC, Jerry Victor, adding that the whereabouts of the victim is still unknown.

The spokesman further said the command had already deployed its personnel to the area in order to rescue the victim unhurt, adding that the kidnappers are yet to reach out to the command and the family of the victim.
