Wizkid hints at releasing a gospel album

Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun, popularly Wizkid, has hinted at releasing a Christian music album.

The ‘Bad Guys’ crooner bragged that if he drops a gospel album, his fans will vibe to it in nightclubs because all of his songs are always hits.

Wizkid state this in a recent interview with UK media outfit, Kiss.

“First of all, let me put this out there, every Wizkid album is always going to be vibes,” the Starboy honcho said.

“If I make a Christian album today, you’re going to play that sh*t in the club.”

Wizkid released his fifth studio album ‘More Love, Less Ego’ today, Friday, 11th November, 2022. The album followed his critically acclaimed project ‘Made In Lagos’ which was a commercial success in the western world and also bagged a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album.

Made in Lagos housed the monster hit record ‘Essence’ which featured talented singer-songwriter, Tems. American billionaire rapper, Kanye West once described the song as “the best song in the history of music.”

Wizkid’s latest offering, ‘More Love, Less Ego’ featured collaborations from Ayra Star, Don Toliver, Skepta, and Naira Marley.
