Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has said that the exploration of crude oil in Jigawa State would begin during the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.

Governor Badaru disclosed this on Wednesday evening while addressing the All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters after presenting flags to the party’s candidates in Jigawa North West.

While reacting to the exploration of oil in between Bauchi and Gombe States, the governor noted that Jigawa State is also blessed with an abundance of oil which would be explored during the Tinubu administration.

Recall that President Muhammad Buhari had on Tuesday flagged off oil exploration in the two States.

Over one billion barrels of crude oil reserves and 500 billion standard cubic feet of gas exist in Kolmani River Oil and Gas Field.

Governor Badaru said “By the grace of God, Jigawa oil will also be explored during the tenure of Tinubu for the benefit of the country and the State”.
