The Kaduna State Government has confirmed that several bandits have been neutralized by troops of the Nigerian Army during clearance operations in bandit enclaves around Idasu, Fatika and Makera forests in Giwa Local Government Area of the state.

This was confirmed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who explained that the operational feedback to the state government revealed that many bandits have been neutralized, adding that others fled with gunshot injuries to the Hayin Siddi area around the interstate boundaries.

Aruwan said “The Kaduna State Government has commended the troops heartily for the success, and urged them to intensify more efforts in order to arrest those with bullet wounds.”

He added “The state government appealed to citizens in those general areas to report suspicious individuals seeking medical attention for gunshot injuries to security operatives.”

“Offensives in the general area are in progress, and citizens will be updated on further developments”.
