According to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), 34,647 Nigerian pilgrims have arrived in Makkah from Madina to participate in the Hajj ceremonies in 2025.
Speaking to reporters in Makkah on Monday, Alhaji Alidu Shutti, the Deputy Coordinator of the NAHCON Office in Makkah, revealed this.
The commission was ready to help the pilgrims have a smooth Hajj experience, according to Shutti, who is also the Director of Inspectorate and Compliance.
“I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that everything is going well so far; as of yesterday (Sunday), we have received 34,647.
However, while I speak to you, we would want to let you know that we are on track and that some pilgrims have been shown into their Makkah accommodations.
He declared, “We are ready to help Allah’s guests so they can perform the Hajj Mabur.”
He claims that NAHCON has been meeting with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and service suppliers on a regular basis.
We have been holding these update sessions even at the deputy minister level at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj.
Additionally, we discussed the extent of our operations, our past actions, and our future plans throughout the meeting. “It’s just to make sure that everything is crossed and everything is dotted in order to make the Hajj operations successful,” he stated.
Shutti also praised the Saudi government for providing the commission with the consular support it needed to ensure the Hajj was a success.
We also want to use this opportunity to thank our main hosts in the kingdom, which are the Nigerian Consulate-General in Jeddah and the Nigerian Embassy in Riyadh.
They have been so wonderful and supportive. They have been providing the commission with the consular support it needs to ensure the Hajj is a success,” he said.
The staff members’ cooperation and teamwork in delivering effective and efficient services to the pilgrims were also praised by the NAHCON official.

He claims that everyone is working nonstop to make sure the Hajj activities run smoothly.
Providing effective and efficient services to Allah’s visitors is our objective.
Additionally, it serves to guarantee that the pilgrims’ money is utilized for the services and that they are rendered in accordance with the terms of the contract they signed with the service provider.
Additionally, I would want to let you know that the commission has people keeping an eye on the services. We have representatives from compliance and the inspectorate.
They must keep an eye on whether they are fulfilling their commitment to deliver the services.
Additionally, we have representatives from monitoring and evaluation. They are supposed to keep an eye on and assess the kind of services provided to the pilgrims,” he stated.
According to Shutti, this is done to make sure that Allah’s visitors receive nothing but the best.
