2027: Adebayo Warns Atiku, El-Rufai Not to Use SDP for Personal Vendetta Against Tinubu

Prior to the general elections in 2027, Prince Adewole Adebayo, the 2023 presidential candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), informed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai, and other opposition leaders that they could not use the party to fight President Bola Tinubu personally.

During his wife Queen Lillian Adebayo’s 50th birthday celebration in Abuj on Monday night, Adebayo informed the guests that SDP is not a getaway vehicle for a heist or plot.

He insisted, however, that he was still a contender for the presidency in 2027 instead.

Atiku, the PDP’s 2023 presidential contender, and El-Rufai, who just defected from the APC to the SDP, are said to be leading the coalition.

Atiku had declared that an opposition coalition had been formed, with the goal of overthrowing Tinubu by 2027.

Naturally, my party is aware that I’m a candidate for the 2027 election. We are listening to what the coalition has to say. Being the getaway vehicle for an unplanned conspiracy or heist is not what we want. We don’t have that,” Adebayo stated.

“The SDP can be used if the coalition is for the Nigerian people. However, disgruntled Tinubu supporters should return to him and settle their disputes there if it is merely a crime hotspot. Please don’t come to SDP to use us in a conflict that we have no stake in,” he continued.

Atiku and El-Rufai would lose to Tinubu in 2027, according to Ayekooto Akindele, a leader of the All Progressives Congress, even if they join forces with terrorists like Abubakar Shekau and Bello Turji.

Atiku and El-Rufai should never be permitted near power when it soon rotates back to the north, according to Akindele.
