2027: Governor Okpebholo Says He Will Resign If Tinubu Loses in Edo

President Bola Tinubu would win the 2027 Edo State presidential election, according to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholor.

In an interview that went viral, Okpebholor promised to step down if the president of Edo State did not win the 2027 election.

Citing initiatives carried out by his (Okpebholor) administration since the All Progressives Congress, or APC, assumed control of the state, he claims that everyone in Edo State is prepared to vote for the president.

He emphasized that everyone is backing the ruling party in advance of the 2027 elections and asserted that there is no opposition in the state.

“There is no opposition here in Edo; everyone is in favor of Asiwaju in this state,” he declared.

“In Edo State, Tinubu is more popular than I am. I’ll step down if he doesn’t win the 2027 Edo presidential election.
