Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, well known by his stage name 2Baba, has formally introduced his fiancée and Edo State legislator, Honourable Natasha Osawaru, to the Idoma traditional leadership and his native community.
The introduction, it was discovered, was held at the Och’Idoma Palace in Otukpo on Monday, April 21, 2025, during the Idoma Nation Peace and Unity Symposium.
Reports state that 2Baba, who dressed traditionally for the occasion, brought together kinsmen and presented Natasha to His Royal Majesty, the Och’Idoma V.
In Okpokwu, his ancestral home in Benue State, 2Baba and Osawaru met with local elders and community members after the palace ceremony.
In order to gain the elders’ support for the former Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, the renowned singer confirmed his pledge.

2Baba declared his plan to wed Osawaru, calling her a youthful, intelligent, and remarkable woman.
However, Nigerian comedian Justice Nuagbe, also known by his stage name Ushbebe, has taken issue with 2Baba’s schoolboy-like behavior of following his Natasha Osawaru around.
Ushbebe reportedly hinted that 2Baba and Natasha’s relationship goes beyond love and urged the pop sensation to break free from the lawmaker’s hold.
Along with calling for national prayers for 2Baba, the comedian said he finds it hard to remain silent.
