Nollywood star, Ini Edo, clocked 37 on Tuesday.

The popular face who have graced the Nigerian screen for years was born April 23, 1982.

To celebrate this iconic screen goddess, we take a look at 3 things you may not know about her.

 1 – She is Ibibio

Ini Edo is Ibibio by tribe from Akwa Ibom state in the South-South part of Nigeria, not far from Calabar.

2 – Akwa Ibom born-and-breed

Miss Edo was born and breed in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital. She attended Cornelius Connely College for her secondary school and then went on to the University of Uyo where she got a Diploma in Theatre Arts. She, however, completed her bachelor’s degree program at the University of Calabar where she studied English.

3 – New millennium actress

Her acting career started in 2003 with her debut in Thick Madam. She was discovered by a producer at the audition she attended. Her breakthrough came in 2004 when she acted in World Apart. Up till now she has appeared in over 100 films.
