A 25-year-old man in Adamawa State has been nabbed for alleged sexual assault against his nine-year-old niece.
The Adamawa State Police Command, which made the arrest, identified the man as Abdu Hamidu, a native of Kwakwa in Hong Local Government Area.
He was alleged to have lured the little girl into his room and had carnal knowledge of her.
In a statement released Tuesday by its spokesman, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Command said that the suspect was arrested last Saturday, May 4.
The arrest followed a complaint lodged at the Kala’a Divisional Headquarters by the father of the girl, who happens to be a brother of the suspect.
