The Federal Road Safety Corps Kano Sector Command has confirmed the death of two people following a fatal road accident along Airport Road, Eldorado Cinema Junction in the Kano metropolis.
The Sector Public Education Officer, FRSC Kano Sector Command, Abdullahi Labaran, confirmed the incident in a statement on Wednesday.
“We regret to report a fatal road traffic crash that occurred today, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 0815 hours along Airport Road, Eldorado Cinema Junction.
“The crash, caused by dangerous driving, involved a DAF truck (commercial) and a Jincheng motorcycle (private), resulting in two fatalities and one serious injury out of the six people involved (all male),” the statement said.
According to the statement, the injured victim had been taken to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, while the deceased were deposited at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
“The vehicles and recovered items were handed over to the Gwagwarwa Police Division for further investigation,” it said.
While urging motorists to drive safely and always obey traffic rules to prevent road crashes, the FRSC extended condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured a quick recovery.
