Following an attack on the village of Buni Gari in Yobe State, Nigerian Army soldiers participating in the HADIN KAI program are currently involved in a major firefight with members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
The details of the altercation were reportedly disclosed on Saturday via the agency’s ð (formerly Twitter) account.
“Operation HADIN KAI troops are engaged in a fierce battle against the ISWAP attack at Buni Gari, Yobe State,” the succinct statement adds. Details will be provided later.
