According to the All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter in Oyo State, some APC leaders who have been endorsing Governor Seyi Makinde are self-serving politicians.
According to reports, the APC took this caution after some party members had commended Makinde for acting in what they said was the best interests of the state.
Wasiu Olawale Sadar, the party’s publicity secretary, said in a statement released on Wednesday that the scenario was a disgraceful act and that the party will punish members who backed Makinde.
Sadare insisted further that all APC members are supposed to back the party’s 2027 takeover attempt.
He went on to say that the party had researched the matter thoroughly and found that certain people still posing as APC leaders are actually employed by the PDP.

“But for selfishness and poor orientation resulting from indiscipline and myopia, no reasonable member of the APC would turn himself into a propaganda machine for the current PDP administration, which has mortgaged the future of the unborn generations by wasting enormous resources on frivolities and inanity over the last six years,” he said.
We believed that the actions of the guilty individuals were extremely repugnant and reckless, especially considering that they both claimed to be the leaders of our great party until recently.
We would engage them as Democrats because some schools of thought believe that they were either misinformed or misrepresented, but we have done our research and determined that those who pose as APC chieftains and continue to work for the PDP in recent years have no justification for committing such ignominious acts.
