APC Govs: ‘Our Party Remains The Most Coherent Political Platform With Unmatched Records Of Reforms’
Following extensive consideration of the country’s socioeconomic trajectory, the governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) reiterated their steadfast dedication to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
It was reported that the APC continues to be the most institutionally coherent political platform in Nigeria, with unparalleled records of reforms, electoral success, and national unity, according to the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), which was hosted by Senator Monday Okpebholo, the governor of Edo State, during a two-day strategic regional meeting in Benin City, the capital of Edo State.
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the PGF urged all Nigerians, domestically and internationally, to support Tinubu and the APC as the country progresses toward a more secure, inclusive, and forward-looking future in a statement delivered to Governor Okpebholo by the Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua.
The Forum recognized Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s resignation as part of the party’s ongoing development.
Reiterating its strong commitment to a united, just, and prosperous Nigeria, the PGF promised to cooperate in order to implement radical reforms, bolster institutional trust, and hasten socioeconomic growth in all geopolitical zones.
Governors decided to uphold APC principles while using innovation, technology, and intergovernmental cooperation to propel Nigeria’s development from the ground up.
The Official Welcome of Governor Eno
The PGF officially welcomed Umo Eno, the governor of Akwa Ibom, to the ruling party, pointing out that his and his supporters’ choice to join the APC represents a growing national agreement on the revolutionary policies being carried out by President Tinubu’s administration.
In addition to congratulating President Tinubu and his team, the PGF praised the broad support for his initiatives that the Forum had garnered in every State.
Reforms Under Tinubu

The Governors were pleased with the improved coordination between federal and state institutions, especially the emphasis on energy transition, food security, infrastructure modernization, fiscal reform, and social sector revitalization.
According to the tenets of constitutional federalism, they promised to remain in line with national goals.
Recognizing the success of macroeconomic stabilization measures including the elimination of fuel subsidies, the unification of exchange rates, and the rationalization of debt, the Forum affirmed its support for a strategy shift toward social justice and inclusive prosperity.
The Governors emphasized that while if economic data indicate that the economy is recovering, growth needs to be further democratized by increasing investments in social safety nets, MSMEs, food security, job creation, and poverty eradication.
