Tinubu to Attend Eighth-Day Prayer Ceremony in Ogun State

On Sunday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will leave Abuja to attend the eighth-day prayer service for Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the late Awujale of Ijebuland.
According to reports, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, made this announcement in a succinct statement on X on Friday.
“The President will attend the event, which will take place at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode, along with Governor Dapo Abiodun and other dignitaries,” he wrote.

“The following day, Oba Adetona, who died on July 13 at the age of 91, was buried in Ijebu-Ode.”

On Friday, President Tinubu traveled to Kano to offer his condolences to the family of the late Alhaji Aminu Dantata, a well-known businessman and elder statesman.

Bayo Onanuga, the presidential spokeswoman, acknowledged this in a statement.

Recalling that President Tinubu was abroad when Dantata passed away, he ordered a few of his ministers, including the defense minister, to travel to Saudi Arabia to attend the late nonagenarian’s funeral as a sign of respect.

As you may remember, on Saturday, June 28, the philanthropist and millionaire died at the age of 94.

Tinubu is anticipated to personally offer his condolences to Dantata’s family during the visit, as well as to the Kano State Government and the state’s citizens.
