A former African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for governor in the 2024 Edo state gubernatorial election, Osarenren Derek Izedonmwen, has congratulated Nigerians on the country’s 65th anniversary of independence and praised their bravery and tenacity in the face of unheard-of economic adversity.
In order to reduce the financial load on homes, Izedonmwen encouraged them to embrace practical measures like tiny gardens and cottage farms. He also asked them to hold tight to the hope that the current storm will pass.
Additionally, by strengthening democracy, empowering young, and utilizing Nigeria’s abundant resources for sustainable progress, he urged leaders at all levels to put aside small-time party politics and recommit to service, accountability, and nation-building.
He emphasized that unity is the cornerstone of growth and said that Nigeria may become a first-world country in three decades with discipline, vision, and teamwork.
Izedonmwen gave a heartfelt homage to the decent and hardworking residents of Edo State, praising their tenacity, inventiveness, and unwavering sense of community as a source of constant inspiration for the country.
