What truly do we want again from this man called Chief Hon. Dr. Philip Agbese, fondly known as Okanga?
First, he brought us the Back-to-School Scholarship Scheme, ensuring that countless children who once saw education as a dream could now return to the classroom with hope and pride. Then came farm inputs and implements to empower our farmers — followed swiftly by grains, cash support, and agribusiness opportunities for poultry owners.
Before we could even say uhuru, we witnessed ICT programs that distributed cash and laptops to young people across our communities, opening doors to the digital future.
But perhaps most remarkable are the visible democratic deliverables: new schools, hospitals, roads, community halls, and the electrification of our towns and villages. Our youths have found purpose and dignity through recruitment into the Police Force and the Nigerian Army — a true testament to empowerment through opportunity.
Not long ago, we saw Keke NAPEPs handed out to hardworking constituents, and today, yet another batch of tricycles is being distributed. Just a few days ago, motorcycles went to the Okanga Sisters across the three local government areas of Enone.
Everywhere you turn, there are empowerment projects and intervention programs touching lives, transforming dreams into reality — all achieved within just two years and six months in office!
And yet, Chief Hon. Dr. Philip Agbese insists — “There is still more in the offing.”
What again can we say? Haba! What manner of man is Okanga? A leader with a heart of gold, a visionary who gives without reservation, and a servant truly devoted to his people.
Indeed, Okanga is not just a representative — he is a phenomenon!
