Israeli PM Netanyahu praises Trump’s fight against terrorists

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday eulogized United States President Donald Trump for his determination to exterminate terrorists.

Netanyahu gave the commendation after a meeting with the U.S. leader at Mar-a-Lago, where he announced the Israel Prize for Trump.
The Israel Prize, established in 1953, is the highest cultural and civilian honor awarded annually to individuals or organizations that have immensely contributed to Israeli society.

The Prime Minister disclosed that a new convention was created, making President Trump the first non-Israeli to receive such an award in more than 70 years.
He said people appreciate what he has done “to help Israel and to help our common battle against terrorists and those who would destroy our civilization.”

The head of state, who invited Trump to visit Israel on its Independence Day, added that his host has been “extraordinary” in his support for Israel as well as “principled positions.”
Netanyahu further described the U.S.-Israel relations as “second to none” and credited the partnership for the “enormous things” both nations have jointly achieved.
Speaking, Trump dubbed Netanyahu “a wartime Prime Minister,” adding that efforts are being made to maintain the current relative peace in the Middle East.

“You’ve been a great friend and I’ve been a great friend to you and to Israel,” the President said. “We’re with you and we’ll continue to be with you.”
The PM and Secretary of State Marco Rubio also discussed regional security, economic cooperation, the fight against antisemitism, and Middle East stability, in line with President Trump’s peace plan.
