Ryan Alebiosu could be sidelined for up to one month after sustaining an injury in Nigeria’s 3-1 victory over the Cranes of Uganda on Tuesday.
Alebiosu, who made his maiden appearance for the Super Eagles in the game, sustained a deep cut on his right leg.
Despite picking up the injury in the first half, the defender managed to complete the game.
A decision is now expected to be made on whether he should return to his Sky Bet Championship club, Blackburn Rovers for treatment or remain with the Super Eagles in Morocco.
Bright Osayi-Samuel is now the only natural right-back in the team following Alebiosu’s injury.
Nantes defender Chidozie Awaziem can also provide cover at right-back.
