According to Segun Sowunmi, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi is not a formidable opponent of President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming general elections in 2027.
During an interview on Channels Television’s “Politics Today,” Sowunmi made this statement on Thursday.
“Those in positions of power at the governor’s level in the Southeast were not that inspiring,” he stated. You must return and observe who is currently seated there.
“A few of them are fulfilling assignments and values. None of them can defeat Obi in such a manner if they are charismatic leaders. It’s not that simple.
“We started that movement because we thought we should be able to break through the glass ceiling so our brothers in the Southeast could do it.”
“Unfortunately, a lot of people pushed back because he was unable to control the excessive bigotry, anger, and argument.”
