Babcock University Dismisses Al Jazeera Allegations, Initiates Internal Review

Described as incorrect and deceptive, Babcock University forcefully disputed assertions made in a recent Al Jazeera article titled “Tested on Palestinians: Epstein, Israel’s Barak Pushed Spy Tech In Nigeria” on Thursday.

The university was allegedly implicated in surveillance and security-related activities and connected to the purchase of biometric technology from Israel, according to the study.

The religious organization has vehemently denied any such transactions.

In a prompt reaction to the revelation, the institution initiated what it called an extensive internal examination of its financial, administrative, and procurement records.

The management maintains that there was no proof of the assertions in the audit.

The institution insisted that it has never sold equipment to Israel or participated in information gathering, monitoring, counterterrorism, or other security-related activities.

In a statement, Associate Vice-President of Communication, Media, and Branding Dr. Johnson Babafemi Akintayo emphasized that the university, being a religious establishment, follows well-defined procurement policies that adhere to both domestic laws and globally accepted accountability standards.

The University functions as a faith-based organization centered on academic excellence, moral leadership, and legal compliance. Its procurement practices are well-defined and in line with both domestic and international accountability standards.

Every acquisition is subject to institutional control, formal approval procedures, and documentation guidelines.

The university firmly rejects any implication that goes against its goals, core principles, system of governance, or mandate.

“Babcock University is unwavering in its dedication to honesty, openness, fiscal responsibility, and the confidence that students, parents, alumni, partners, authorities, and the general public have placed in it.

Babcock reiterated its dedication to openness, moral leadership, and the confidence that students, parents, alumni, and government regulators have placed in it. It also insisted that its operations and mission continue to be deeply grounded in honesty and academic quality.
