Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has challenged Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Information and Strategy, to a discussion on national television.
Abdullahi reportedly made the challenge on Friday while giving a speech on “The Morning Brief” on Channels Television.
Speaking on the 2027 election, Abdullahi asked the government, which is run by the All Progressives Congress (APC), how the Electoral Act would increase the election’s credibility and transparency.
The ADC chieftain claims that the opposition parties’ existence irritates the ruling party, emphasizing that they would not be silenced.
Additionally, Abdullahi chastised Felix Morka, the national public secretary for the APC, for using derogatory language and slurs in their news releases.
“I will be prepared to debate this with you if you can get Bayo Onanuga to appear on television,” he stated. not merely reading what he said. Allow him to visit and discuss this with me. Let’s have a face-to-face meeting and allow him to demonstrate how the Electoral Act they approved will enhance the election’s credibility and openness.
The APC government appears to be annoyed that there is any opposition at all. “Who are these people asking us questions?” is their response. They prefer that no one inquire. They prefer that no one question them.
It is evident from their words that they utilize derogatory and offensive language. As I read the statement issued by Felix Morka, the National Public Secretary of the APC, I had some questions. For heaven’s sake, we have children. What do we teach them?
