Aisha Yesufu, a human rights activist, claims that what she has learnt and continues to learn in the African Democratic Congress, or ADC, would not have been taught by a political science degree.
The BringBackOurGirls Movement co-convener announced this on Saturday in a statement that was shared on her verified X profile.
According to the article, Yesufu joined the ADC on December 31, 2025, just after Peter Obi, a former Labour Party presidential contender, defected to the party.
“No political science degree would have taught me the things I am learning just by being a registered member of ADC, and I adore it.”
“The actual power brokering occurs within political parties. “I’ve never made a better choice than joining ADC,” she remarked.
Recall that in advance of the 2027 elections, Yesufu had recently counseled opposition leaders Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to implement pragmatic campaign tactics that directly address the financial struggles that many Nigerians are facing.
She maintained that many people are now more focused on their immediate survival than on political discourse due to the pervasive poverty.
