Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has said that the ruling All Progressives Congress and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are trembling over the African Democratic Congress’s current progress ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Atiku claimed that the President and APC are terrified because he has become “the center of gravity in the unfolding 2027 political equation” in a statement released on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Phrank Shaibu.
As a result, Atiku expressed concern about concerted misinformation aimed at undermining ADC’s momentum.
He emphasized that assertions that he has retired from politics are blatantly untrue.
“It’s not sentiment. It’s a fact of politics.
And it is precisely this expanding area of attraction and growing convergence that has caused fear among anti-democratic groups, who now turn to vulgar propaganda in a frantic attempt to break a momentum they cannot control or comprehend.
“Those who comprehend power are aware that what some consider to be “noise” is frequently the first indication of movement, showing where interests are shifting, where attention is straying, and where the next realignment may finally settle.”
“This movement won’t be stopped by misinformation. Nigerians’ fear of those who have let them down is greatly outweighed by their tenacity.
“We urge all well-meaning Nigerians, including members of the ADC and supporters of Atiku Abubakar, to ignore this propaganda in its entirety and stay steadfast in the collective mission to rebuild our nation,” he said.
