Omoyele Sowore, who used to run for president with the African Action Congress (AAC), says that President Bola Tinubu will only serve one term and will not be re-elected in 2027.
Sowore reportedly said this on Friday while speaking to journalists and supporters in Abuja.
Sowore said that President Tinubu is sucking the life out of Nigerians because people are getting more and more angry about the country’s economic problems and rising crime rates.
Sowore said that Nigerians must fight back and make sure that Tinubu does not win the next election.
He said, “If he comes back, I promise you, Nigerians, he won’t come back.” He is the president for one term. That’s the truth.
“And Nigerians can do it because this guy came and is taking life away from Nigerians. We don’t just stand in front of people and say we’re abusing them. We are being honest with you when we say that it is about your existence.
“This guy is sucking the life out of people.” And we have to fight back. We have to do whatever it takes to fight it so that we are still around when his terrible time in office is over.
Rotimi Amaechi, who used to be the Minister of Transportation and the Governor of Rivers State, has also said that a lot of Nigerians want to vote Tinubu out of office in 2027.
He said this on Friday when he was on Channels Television.
Amaechi, who spoke on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief program on Friday, said that the country’s economy is getting worse and people are having a harder time.
The ex-minister said, “Everyone is hurting, and everyone is looking for food.” People can’t travel or buy gas. The airlines are threatening to raise the price of travel; everything is going up.
“Please, President Tinubu does not have the right to speak. He does not. He promised power and said that if he doesn’t give it to them, they shouldn’t vote for him. “Nigerians are ready to vote him out.”
