It was reported that armed bandits attacked the village of Kemanji in the Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State on Monday, killing many people.
According to security sources who confirmed the news on Monday, the bloody attack happened around 3 a.m. and killed some soldiers.
Reports say that security forces, which included the Nigerian Army and local vigilantes, fought the bandits in a fierce gun battle that lasted until 5 a.m.
It was learned that some soldiers died in the attack, but the full extent of the damage could not be determined at the time of this report.
Remember that armed bandits recently attacked the Woro and Nuku communities in the Kaiama Local Government Area, killing many people, burning down homes, and taking over 100 people hostage.
On Sunday, suspected bandits reportedly attacked Ora Ayegbaju in Obbo-Ile, Ekiti local government area, which is another development.
Three brothers were killed in the attack that happened around 10:00 PM, while other people ran away to safety.
The three hurt people were named AbdulJareem Adamu, AbdulJareem Yunusa, and AbdulJareem Yusuf.
The three hurt brothers are getting medical care right now at a hospital in Osi town.
Authorities had not yet responded to the two events on Monday.
