Prophet Joshua Iginla of the Champion Royal Assembly says that Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, is the only person who can give President Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) a tough fight in 2027.
He says that Obi, who is one of the top candidates for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential ticket, only needs a northern deputy to give the APC a strong fight.
Iginla, who spoke to the congregation during a live Sunday service, told Obi not to let any other candidate run for office.
He said, “This is what I think about politics.” Put Peter Obi there and let any Northerner be his deputy. Then we will have a fight if we really want to give the other party a strong fight.
“Peter Obi, don’t, if you vice anyone, you have lost your political relevance.” You should go zero and let them do their thing. “It’s so easy that you need to be patient to get there.”
Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso are said to be talking about working together, and supporters are pushing for an Obi/Kwankwaso ticket.
