Nenadi Usman, the Labour Party’s Interim National Chairperson, says that Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate in 2023, will not be able to return to the party.
On Wednesday, Usman talked about this on Arise Television’s “Prime Time.”
She said that once they close the register 21 days before the primaries and send in the e-register, no one can come in through the back door to register.
“It will be too late for Peter Obi to return to the Labour Party because we will close the register at certain times, as you can see in the Electoral Act. You can’t come when that happens.
“Obi really took the party to new heights in 2023. No one else can keep up with that kind of speed like he did.
“He got me to join the Labour Party with him.” “And not just me, but a lot of people in the Labour Party today because we believe in fairness and equality,” she said.
