Former Edo State Governor, Prof Oserheimen Osunbor has accused the Federal Government led by the All Progressive Congress, APC, of doing everything to destroy opposition political parties in Nigeria.
He made the allegation on Friday while featuring as a guest on Channels Television’s programme, ‘Politics Today’.
He was reacting to the activities of the APC against the opposition political parties in the country.
The Professor of Law also had a dig at Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila over his recent statement.
Gbajabiamila was said to have told a member of the House of Representatives, Leke Ajebade, to stay in the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and destroy it.
“This government is doing everything within its power and beyond its power to destroy opposition political parties,” aired his own opinion, the ex-governor said.
“Independence of the legislature and independence of the judiciary are no longer there in Nigeria.
“Recently, the social media was awash with a viral video of the Chief of Staff to Mr President telling a Reps member to remain in the ADC, fight them and scatter them.
