Peter Obi: Yunusa Tanko Says Group Is Trying To Confuse Identity Of Obidient Movement

The Obidient Movement has accused the splinter group that expelled ex-presidential candidate, Peter Obi and Yunusa Tanko of trying to sow discord as to its identity.

National Coordinator of the movement, Tanko, said in a signed statement that Obidient Movement does not recognize any parallel structure within its ranks.

The Obidient Movement Rebrand group had a press briefing in Abuja where they expelled Obi and Tanko from the group.

“We dismissed the expulsion. Tanko said in a statement said: “We became aware of the activities and announcements by some individuals and groups who are trying to operate under names and structures that are meant to create confusion about who they are, who leads them, or any changes that are happening.

“To avoid any confusion, the Obidient Movement does not recognize any other groups, divisions or leaders other than its official leadership, which is in line with His Excellency, Peter Obi.

“The public, media, supporters from Nigeria and the diaspora, and all related parties have been advised that any group operating under a similar or disguised identity is not a representative of the Obidient Movement, its principles and leaders.”
