DR. PHILIP AGBESE REDEEMS BOREHOLES PROMISE, BRINGS WATER RELIEF TO IGUMALE, ADO LGA

Chief Dr. Philip Agbese, Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives and Member representing Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency of Benue State, has fulfilled his promise to provide access to clean and potable water for the people of Igumale and surrounding communities through the drilling of boreholes.

The project aims to alleviate the burden faced by residents, particularly elderly women and children in Igumale, who covers distance to River Okpokwu to fetch water for domestic use.

The commencement of the boreholes sparked widespread jubilation across the communities, as both young and old residents expressed their gratitude and excitement. Speaking during the event, Elder Mama Orindu offered heartfelt prayers for Dr. Agbese, describing the intervention as life-saving. According to her, “Water is life, and the man who has given us water will continue to enjoy abundant life and blessings from God.

Residents of Iga-Aidaka, Ogbee, and neighbouring communities also expressed profound appreciation for the federal lawmaker. Community leader, Chief Odenebi Ochapa Onazi, commended Dr. Agbese for fulfilling his promise and pledged the continued support and cooperation of the people, encouraging him to sustain his developmental efforts across the constituency.

The borehole project is one among several impactful interventions undertaken by Dr. Agbese since his election to the National Assembly. His representation has been marked by numerous empowerment and development initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of constituents.

Among his notable achievements are the empowerment of women through the distribution of over 2,000 Hollandais wrappers, scholarships and educational support for students, the distribution of laptops to over 400 beneficiaries, and various youth empowerment programmes designed to enhance economic opportunities.

In the area of infrastructure, Dr. Agbese has facilitated the installation of solar-powered street lights across several communities, improving security and boosting economic activities.Building and equipping of healthcare facilities to enhance access to quality healthcare services for rural dwellers.

These interventions have continued to earn him widespread commendation from constituents who view his leadership as people-oriented and focused on addressing the pressing needs of the grassroots.
