Lagos State Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu says he will not allow any protest hold at the Lekki toll gate on February 13.

Mr Odumosu spoke at a press conference on Thursday following mobilisation online for Nigerians to join the protest.

The protesters say they are returning to the streets to show their disapproval of the decision of the state judIcial panel of inquiry on the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad to return control of Lekki toll gate to Lekki Concession Company.

Counter protesters also planned to stop the protest on the same day.

Addressing the issue, the police commissioner said: “Allowing both groups to carry out their planned protests will be counter-productive.

“No protest in any guise will be allowed to take place on Saturday 13th February 2021.”
