Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, has promised to support Mouka Foam Nigeria as it seeks to broaden its clientele in the region.
When Mouka Foam Limited’s management, led by its managing director, Femi Fapohunda, paid him a courtesy visit at the governor’s office in Ibadan on Wednesday, Makinde reportedly gave this assurance.
After the meeting, the governor gave the team an assurance that he would do everything in his power to support them in achieving their goals, according to Mr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the governor’s chief press secretary.
According to Olanrewaju, the state’s atmosphere and favourable environment encouraged the company to plan to locate a factory in Ibadan.
“The governor hosted a team from Mouka Nigeria and their partners from Morocco, and the focus of the discussion was them setting up a factory in Ibadan,” Sulaiman said.
“They claimed to have travelled the nation and discovered that this location was ideal for their business. They want to build a factory here as a result, and the governor promised them that everything would be resolved regarding their request to secure land for their factory within two weeks.
“The governor also promised that they would receive all the assistance they need to pursue their dreams. As a result, the meeting was a great success, and everyone wants to visit Ibadan as soon as possible.
He claimed that the governor added that every effort was being made to make the state the choice of investors.
In his response, Mouka’s managing director, Femi Fapohunda, thanked the governor for the gracious welcome and noted how helpful and accommodating the state had been to the company’s operations.
“We currently have plants in Lagos and Kaduna, but due to capacity constraints, we are expanding the business. Ibadan has been very welcoming in this regard. We are here today because this is where we plan to put all of our investments and expansion, he said.
