Rev. Amos Yohana was sworn in as the senator for Adamawa North by the Senate on Wednesday during plenary.
Elisha Abo, who was recently fired by the Court of Appeal, Abuja, is replaced by Rev. Yohana.
The plenary was led by Barau Jibrin, the deputy president of the Senate.
When former senator Aboh claimed that Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, was to blame for his dismissal and disclosed that four other senators who disagreed with Akpabio had also been targeted for dismissal by the courts, he sparked uproar. When an aide to Akpabio confronted him about the claim, he turned around to refute it.
In the competition with Akpabio for the Senate presidency, Aboh spearheaded Senator Abubakar Yari’s campaign.
