The 2024 Staff Promotion Examination has been postponed indefinitely by the National Examinations Council (NECO).
Reactions had been raised to the examination that was set to take place in Minna, Niger State, on February 14 and 15, 2024.
Employees who meet the requirements for advancement have been told by the exam body to report to the office between January 13, 2024, and January 15, 2024.
The workers, however, objected to the development because of the widespread instability in the nation.
The postponement was made in accordance with the instruction of the House of Representatives’ Committee on Basic Examination Bodies, according to a statement released on Friday by Azeez Sani, Acting Director, Directorate of Information and Digital Communication.

He said, “In light of this development, all NECO Staff who are eligible for promotion this year should be aware that the process has been placed on indefinite hold.”
