Mr. Tomide Akinribido, a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, has joined the All Progressive Congress (APC) after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

On Monday, Akinribido—a deputy minority leader in the 9th House of Assembly—officially joined the APC.

The former congressman expressed his happiness at joining the ruling party and promised to dedicate himself to collaborating with the leadership, members, and stakeholders of his new organization.

“My belief that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has the necessary ability and political will to steer the state’s ship flawlessly and improve the lot of people in the state was the driving force behind my decision to join the APC,” he stated.

During his speech, Mr. Ade Adetimehin, the APC’s chairman for Ondo State, predicted that many PDP leaders would switch to the ruling party.

“Akinribido’s defection is a dream come true,” stated Adetimehin. “The APC would benefit from the former lawmaker’s high level of intellect and capacity.” He’s invited to our celebration.

Since he has arrived, I would like to inform you that further PDP leaders have indicated their willingness to join the APC; you will soon become acquainted with them.

“To accommodate as many party faithful as possible, we have a big umbrella.”
