Nigerian music star, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, fondly known as Terry G, has dubbed Burna Boy as superior to Wizkid and Davido.
Terry G said this during an appearance on the audio-visual podcast, “The Honest Bunch,” hosted by media personality Nedu Wazobia and others.
The discussion arose when the ‘Apako Master’ was prompted to weigh in on the trending industry rivalry between Wizkid and Davido.
Terry G described Davido as one who makes African music; the kind of songs Africans can easily relate to, while Wizkid is more of an international artiste.
Regarding Burna Boy, Terry G said he reigns supreme over both Wizkid and Davido.
He emphasized Burna Boy’s dominance not only within Africa but also on a global scale, positioning him as the pinnacle of contemporary African music.
“The Wizkid vs Davido debate, to me is lame. Davido is the king of Africa. He has an African audience.
“He sings unapologetic African music. But Wizkid’s mindset is targeted at crossover. His music no dey too relate to us (Africans). Burna Boy na im get Africa and International. He is their king. Burna pass two of them,” he said in Pidgin and English.
