ADC Has No Future – Ex-Borno Governor Says Party Is Nonexistent

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) will quickly become obsolete, according to Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former governor of Borno State.
The former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stated that the opposition party would disintegrate due to the aspirations of ADC leaders for presidency during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday.
According to him, the ADC is a flimsy political experiment that would “die down in three months” due to conflicting presidential aspirations.

Sheriff responded, “You mentioned that people are mentioning my name, that I was going to the ADC,” to rumors that he is about to join the group. Not true. What ADC? What political party do they belong to?

“Allocate them three months.” The party will disband as they are all “presidential materials.” And out of all of them, only one will run for the presidency.

Sheriff maintained that the ADC lacks the foundation that allowed the APC to succeed, pointing out that the APC was formed by the union of parties with governors and national institutions.

There were over fifteen state governments participating when we were forming the APC. With four states, President Bola Tinubu arrived. About five or six members of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) arrived. With four, Breakaway PDP arrived. There are currently 73 senators, a resounding majority in the House of Representatives, and over 20 states,” he stated.

At all costs, they all aspire to be president,” the former senator continued. They are entitled to aspiration, but in the context of current politics, they are nonexistent. ADC doesn’t exist.
