ADC: NNPP’s Buba Galadima Reveals Kwankwaso’s Position on Joining Opposition Coalition or APC

Buba Galadima, a prominent chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has clarified the political stance of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the party’s former presidential candidate, amid ongoing efforts by political parties to recruit him ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Friday, Galadima confirmed that Kwankwaso has no immediate plans to join the newly formed coalition, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), or the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“We will remain in the NNPP until the whistle is blown for politics,” Galadima stated, emphasizing the party’s commitment to its current path.

Kwankwaso Being Wooed by Multiple Parties

According to Galadima, several political groups—including the PDP, APC, and the emerging opposition coalition—have made attempts to lure Kwankwaso into their fold. However, Kwankwaso has remained strategically silent, allowing others to promote his political image voluntarily.

“He has decided to keep quiet, and people are campaigning for him free of charge,” Galadima said.
“Everybody is saying he’s a good person, that he has the capacity to run this country. What else do you need in any politician?”

Support for Kwankwaso’s Presidential Ambition

Galadima used the opportunity to advocate for national support for Kwankwaso’s presidential ambition, asserting that he is the type of leader Nigeria needs to deliver the dividends of democracy.

“Every Nigerian needs him. Every political party needs him. Why don’t they support him to become the president of Nigeria?” he asked.

NNPP to Remain Independent Until Election Season

Galadima reiterated that the NNPP is a legally registered political party under Nigerian law and will remain independent for now.

“We will remain in our party strategically until the whistle is blown for politics,” he concluded.
