Former Nigeria striker, Daniel Amokachi, has picked three players that have quietly stood out so far at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Amokachi named them as Ibrahim Mbaye (Senegal), Raphael Onyedika (Nigeria) and Ayoub El Kaabi (Morocco).
“Coming off the bench in all three group games, he made a difference, creating chances and providing assists,” Amokachi said about Mbaye.
On Onyedika, he said that despite the Club Brugge midfielder being left on the bench for the first group fixture, “he came in during the third and has really stood out.”
Amokachi also adjudged that El Kaabi, who is one of the top scorers at the tournament at the moment, “has scored two of the best goals so far.”
