AFCON: Osimhen names 3 players who can get goals, assists for Nigeria

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has identified three teammates poised to contribute goals and assists for the Super Eagles in the knockout stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Morocco.

Nigeria will face Mozambique in the last-16 match on Monday after topping Group C with a perfect 9 points, following a 3-1 victory over Uganda on Tuesday.
After the match against Uganda, Osimhen singled out Ademola Lookman, Paul Onuachu and Akor Adams as key players who can help the Super Eagles in the knockout rounds.

“I’m not promising anyone that I’ll score more goals in the Round of 16,” Osimhen stated to reporters.
“The only thing I can assure is good performance, fighting for my team and to make sure Super Eagles win.

“We have Paul, Akor, and Ade [Ademola Lookman] who can deliver for us in terms of scoring goals and providing assists.”
