Aminu Shehu, an ally of Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has refuted rumors on social media that President Bola Tinubu is “caged” inside the Presidential Villa, according to the chairman of the Senate Committee on Water Resources.
In a statement released on Thursday, Shehu characterized the widely shared assertion as untrue and an intentional attempt to deceive the people and create needless political conflict.
Shehu reportedly stated that the statements attributed to the former governor of Zamfara State after the One Nigeria Project Conference in Abuja were made up.
“A widely circulated social media report on Wednesday falsely claimed that former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is ‘caged’ inside the Presidential Villa,” according to the statement.
The assertion that surfaced during the One Nigeria Project Conference in Abuja has been verified as false information. The publication was criticized by many close to the senator as an intentional attempt to mislead the public and create needless political friction.
In actuality, Senator Yari made statements endorsing President Tinubu and urging Nigerians to unite. Yari emphasized the President’s commitment to bringing stability back and promoting national growth.
He claimed that because President Tinubu is committed to advancing Nigeria, he has been working nonstop and getting thorough briefs from all important sectors of the country. Yari claims that the President is deeply involved in the problems facing the country and dedicated to coming up with solutions that would benefit every individual. Yari continued by saying that a lot of Nigeria’s issues are self-inflicted and need to be solved by everyone.
He emphasized that national unity is the only way to achieve true progress, saying, “This is because so much havoc was initiated by us ourselves, but we need to come together.”
He disclosed that he personally alerted President Tinubu that he would be attending the conference, saying, “I was with the President in the night, and I told him that I would be here, and if he has time, he should watch what we are doing.” Additionally, I believe that this organization need to be supported.
Senator Yari also addressed the bad rhetoric that is frequently directed at the President, highlighting the fact that many of the critiques originate from people who ought to know better. The elite is the issue. Tinubu is being mistreated by others. He stated, “You are abusing him because you know the problem more than the truth,” emphasizing the necessity for integrity, accountability, and patriotism in order to advance the nation.
Yari came to the conclusion that a shared commitment to growth and development, collaboration, and unity of purpose are necessary to achieve “One Nigeria.” His remarks contrast sharply with the untrue assertions that are making the rounds on the internet.
